WISeKey is a leading information security and identity management company, and provides specialized security technologies for data protection, and effective identification and authentication of people and objects, over physical infrastructures, networks and the internet to ensure secure communications and e-transactions, without compromising trust. Established in 1999, and headquartered in Geneva Switzerland, WISeKey also has subsidiaries which solve advanced e-security issues for organizations in many sectors including defense, health, education, finance, and government. WISeKey works with leading solution and technology partners for solutions and project implementations and participates in many security and identity access and management working groups and initiatives such as the OASIS group, Liberty Alliance, Clinton Global Initiative, OISTE (the organization for secure electronic transactions), ITU, WTO (World Trade Organization), and UN World Tourism Organization. WISeKey is also a founding member of the Geneva Security Forum.
Since its foundation in 1999, WISeKey continuously built out trusted operational capabilities. WISeKey has built its own high security data center in Geneva and is currently finalising another data center in Bilbao, Spain. Additionally, it has a partner relationship that enables it to have access for extreme-criticality projects and systems to IT-enabled military bunkers under the Swiss Alps operated by the Swiss Army.
WISeKey’s operations are audited annually by independent auditors designated by the OISTE Foundation to ensure its compliance with the OISTE Foundation-approved policies and procedures as well as industry-recognized operations standards such as Webtrust for Certification Authorities (see Webtrust.org for more details).
These infrastructures and operational excellence now enable it to execute the strategy it has embarked on.
